«Great Volga» stand at INTOURMARKET — 2012

This Volga regions’ alliance at Intourmarket is an unprecedented event. It naturally has taken place from Tourism cooperation agreement signed among mentioned regions.

In 2008 the representatives of Tatarstan, Ulyanovsk and Samara areas signed the Agreement for tourism competitiveness in Middle Povolzhye in Samara which was to work out the unique policy and cooperation in regional tour products’ promotion.

Later Chuvashiya, Mariy El Republic, Nizhny Novgorod, Penza and Saratov regions supported the document. For Intourmarket 2011 general inter regional Volga cruise catalogues were published and in June 2011 the press cruise Moscow -Samara was spent for leading Russian and foreign mass media with Federal Agency for tourism support.

Today Great Volga Agreement is one of the most perspective inter regional consolidations in tourism development field.

It is aimed at general regions’ tourism potential promotion at Russian and international level. Great Volga as a brand is widely known among Russian and foreign tourists. Oldest Volga cities as Kazan, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Ulyanovsk, Penza, Saratov, Yoshkar Ola and others will exhibit at peculiar Great Volga stand.

Stand visitors will gain full information at medical, cultural, event and MICE, festival, active tourism and cruises from Volga regions’ tourism professionals.

International tour operators can discover various travel and recreation routes in a Russia’s heart-Great Volga regions.
